Changing birth control start day?

I am taking loestrin 24fe and have been on it for about a year, and this birth control only has 4 placebo pills. I began as a Wednesday start and now I am on a Tuesday start so I wouldn't have my period on a specific event that was during a day when I was supposed to get it. I want to go back to Wednesday start so I get my period on Mondays instead of Sundays (like I do now with my Tuesday start). I have had no problems changing my starting date in the past but my question is, if I am a Tuesday start now and want to go back to Wednesday start should I use back-up birth control for a while? I don't know if it would be like skipping a pill if I wait a day to start my new pack or if I would still be protected
