America do you want socialism or capitalism?

I always tell people capitalism means competition. Right now it seems like we live in both. Yes we have the right to vote, freedom of speech, and many other good rights. Yesterday my mother in law said they need to make health care for everyone. She also ranted about how the government needs to help her more. And I hear this from everyone everyday. The same people who won't help anyone else sit and complain. My grandfather was a true American. He fought in the wars, he worked for GM and later started his own landscaping business, he always paid his taxes, and he always helped the community. As an African American it was extremely hard for him. He never even graduated from high school but was successful and drove every new Chevy or GM vehicle that ame out. He raised five kids and sent them all to college. Now my mother in law who also went school is unfortunately not successful. Her dad was just like my grandfather except he was white. Anyway she wants everyone to help her but makes no effort to help herself. Capitalism means competition. If you work hard, go to school, and think of ways to make money while your sleeping while at the same time pay your taxes then you shouldn't have a problem. No one should have to help anyone. The same people who complain about no jobs out here don't even try to find jobs, they just assume. They don't try to further their education or start their own business. I feel bad for all those rich people. Imagine being rich and all everyone do is rub their hands together at you. It pisses me off. In some cases you should help people like when a natural disaster occurs or sending a young kid to college. Why should we help bums.
