Is becoming a pilot worth it?
There is no single answer to that. Some days, it is worth every minute and dime. Some days, it isn't. Most of the time it is in the middle. What is, is. You make of it what you want to make of it. As a Navy pilot I did not love every minute of it. Boring A-4-sized holes in the clouds waiting to start my approach to land on a pitch black carrier (except for the center-line lights and the mirror) was not what any sane pilot would call fun. Shooting the perfect approach to a three-wire trap was as much fun as a man could have with his clothes on. Most of it was in the middle. So the choice is yours. If you are willing to pay the price, go for it. Nothing in life is guaranteed (except death and taxes). Once the decision is made, don't look back. So, pick one and get on with it!
